The Connecticut Airport Authority is pleased to announce that voting is now underway for Condé Nast Traveler’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards and Bradley International Airport (BDL) is once again in the running to be named one of the “Best Airports in the Country” for 2024. For the last seven consecutive years, BDL has made Condé Nast Traveler’s list of top ten airports.
This year’s voting comes as BDL grows its list of nonstop flights to more than 40 destinations among 11 different airlines and makes new Today, Kevin A. Dillon, A.A.E., announced that he intends to retire as Executive Director of the Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) effective January 2025.

The funding will be used for the ongoing construction of an 80,000 square foot checked baggage inspection system that’s currently under construction behind the Sheraton Hotel. Once complete, baggage will be sent from the airline ticket counters along a mile-long conveyor belt to the new facility to be screened.

When Tony Sheridan immigrated to New London from County Meath, Ireland back in 1964, one of his first jobs was as a plumber. His reasoning, he says, was simple.
